In a groundbreaking effort to improve healthcare access in one of Peru’s most remote regions, a new dental clinic has been inaugurated under the supervision of Father Porteli at the Parroquia San Martín de Porres. Located in Iquitos, the clinic is already providing much-needed dental care to communities, many of whom have never had access to such services before.
The project, supported by the NGO Revive, marks a significant step forward in addressing the healthcare disparities faced by Amazonian communities. Revive has not only funded the installation of the clinic but is also covering the salaries of dentists and assiting in the daily running of the unit.
Father Porteli, who is both a priest and a medical doctor, has long been a pillar of support for the region’s underserved populations. His unique combination of spiritual guidance and medical expertise has earned him the trust and admiration of the communities he serves. The new dental clinic is an extension of his mission to bring holistic care to those in need.
